Introduction: Educators in the Pacific are coming together to explore changing practices and theories in dealing with the challenges of modern education. The demands of quality and relevance in expressive arts education, educational issues, and in curricula are constantly changing. It is imperative that educators become active contributors as we try and make sense of all that is happening. This conference is an initiative to bring together stakeholders who are interested in critiquing and implementing educational practices in a Pacific where the sustainability of its cultures, peoples and environments are increasingly becoming fragile and volatile. Participants will come from all over the Pacific. Participation by professionals and practitioners, including NGOs, whose work centre around sustainable development in creating enabling environments. A select group of individuals with knowledge and experience in education in the Pacific will present keynote papers to explore the conference theme. ______________________________________________________ |
